Doris Egan has some sharp words about the Emmy's giving TVwriters the shaft

If people can retweet and maybe spread the link to media folks in particular that'd be great. Hollywood media should cover this issue. It's a crappy decision by the Emmy people and an insult to writers and writing as a profession.

"Lost in Austen" - if you love Austen this is a fun story
Lost in Austen" Plot summary:
A twist on Jane Austen's classic novel, this four-part series sees disillusioned modern working girl Amanda Price 'swap' her life for Austen's celebrated heroine, Elizabeth Bennet. Trapped in the unfolding fiction, Amanda must try her utmost to stop the events in the book derailing, as her presence in the characters' lives sets other episodes in motion. When Amanda Price returns home from a bad day at work, she is amazed to find Elizabeth Bennet in her bathroom, who discloses she arrived through a long-boarded up door that leads through to her family home. Intrigued, Amanda steps through the portal and discovers herself at Longbourne...

All 4 parts are up on youtube by the person who put up this video.   Somtimes there are 11 parts to one episode bc of how the poster broke up the episodes, but if you're a big Austen fan, it's worth all the clicking.  This is a fun, clever take on the original material.  I had seen a Brit on my flist mention this before, but not looked into it until Chiri mentioned it again yesterday.  If you're looking for something light, this is exactly that.
